Five apartments, three central neighbourhoods

Holiday apartments in Málaga city centre

We have five holiday apartments in central Málaga, all with Wi-Fi, air conditioning and a fully equipped kitchen. Here's where each one is, what you can walk to, and which suits your trip best, so you can choose with all the facts to hand.

Our 5 apartments

Where our Málaga city centre apartments are

Our five apartments are spread across three parts of the centre, each with its own character. You can walk to the Old Town from all of them, and four are within about a quarter of an hour of the Cathedral.

Right in the Old Town you'll find Torre San Juan, in an 1867 building a few steps from Calle Larios, and Museums Loft, close to Plaza de la Merced and the Picasso Museum. Across the Guadalmedina river, in the Trinidad and El Perchel neighbourhoods, are Trinidad, which has paid parking in the same building, and Cuarteles, our largest, right by the airport train stop. The fifth, Victoria Duplex, is in La Victoria, a quiet residential area north-east of the centre.

Each area has its own pace. The Old Town is pedestrianised and buzzing at almost any hour; Trinidad and El Perchel are traditional neighbourhoods where you'll meet more locals than visitors; and La Victoria is the calmest choice if a good night's sleep comes first.

What's within walking distance of each apartment

Central Málaga is made for walking. Here are some approximate walking times from each apartment, worked out on the map (the table on this page has the rest):

  • Torre San Juan: Calle Larios about 2 minutes, Atarazanas Market about 4 and the Cathedral about 5 (approx.).
  • Museums Loft: Plaza de la Merced about 3 minutes, the Picasso Museum about 6 and the Roman Theatre about 8 (approx.).
  • Trinidad: the Carmen Thyssen Museum about 4 minutes, Calle Larios about 9 and the Cathedral about 12 (approx.).
  • Cuarteles: the airport train stop about a minute, Atarazanas Market about 6 and María Zambrano station about 10 (approx.).
  • Victoria Duplex: Plaza de la Merced and Malagueta beach, each about 15 minutes away (approx.).

Getting to Málaga city centre from the airport and station

From the airport, the most direct option is the local Cercanías train, line C1. It leaves from a station next to Terminal 3, calls at María Zambrano and terminates at Centro-Alameda, a few steps from Cuarteles and a short walk from Trinidad and Torre San Juan. There's also the airport express bus (EMT line A), which runs into the centre along the Alameda Principal, and a taxi rank outside arrivals.

If you're coming by high-speed train or long-distance coach, you'll arrive at María Zambrano station, with the bus station right next door. From there you can walk into town or hop in a taxi.

Timetables, frequencies and fares change, so check them on the Renfe, EMT or airport websites before you travel. Our airport-to-centre guide walks you through it step by step.

Which central Málaga apartment is right for you

There's no single best apartment, just the one that fits your trip. Here's how we'd choose:

  • To soak up the Old Town and you're travelling light: Torre San Juan (up to 4 guests, 2 bedrooms). Bear in mind it's on a 4th floor with no lift.
  • For couples after a design-led base near the museums: Museums Loft (up to 4 guests). The double bed is on a mezzanine 1.35 m high.
  • If you're driving: Trinidad (up to 4 guests), with paid parking in the same building and a small terrace.
  • For groups or families of up to 6, or if you want the airport train on the doorstep: Cuarteles (3 bedrooms, 4th floor with a lift).
  • For up to 5 who'd rather stay somewhere quiet: Victoria Duplex (2 bedrooms, a full bathroom and a separate toilet).

What every apartment comes with

Every apartment has Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a Smart TV and an equipped kitchen, so you can have breakfast or dinner in whenever you like. Check-in is from 15:00 and check-out is by 11:00.

All our apartments are non-smoking, pets aren't allowed and parties or events aren't permitted. If you have any questions about a particular apartment before booking, just drop us a line. Once you're here, we're always happy to share local tips.

Tips for staying in central Málaga

Get around on foot: the centre is flat and compact, and many Old Town streets are pedestrianised. That also means a taxi can't always drop you right outside, so if you're bringing a lot of luggage, a case with decent wheels helps.

If you're driving, read up on the low-emission zone and access restrictions on the city council's website before you set off, and consider Trinidad, which has parking in the building.

During Holy Week (Semana Santa) and the August Fair the city fills up and the centre changes pace, with processions and stalls in the streets. If you're travelling then, we'd recommend booking early. In summer, save outdoor sightseeing for the morning or evening and spend the hottest hours in a museum.
